Rural Opportunities Loan Fund: Helps business expansion and other business needs when jobs are created or saved. Available in Pend Oreille, Stevens, Ferry, Lincoln, Grant, Adams, Whitman, Garfield, Asotin counties and rural Spokane County.

Angel Capital Electronic Network (ACE-Net):   ACE-Net is a precedent-setting national equity capital market serving accredited individual investors in early-stage high-growth entrepreneurial ventures.   ACE-Net is grounded upon two fundamental positions: U.S. entrepreneurs and venture investors constitute a vital competitive edge in world markets; and the know-how and the capital of self-made, high-net-worth individuals are two of the country's least understood and most underutilized economic resources.  ACE-Net must be accessed via the internet and is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Center for Venture Research, and a consortium of universities and economic development organizations.

Cascadia Revolving Fund:   Cascadia is a private, nonprofit community development loan fund.  Socially-concerned individuals and organizations deposit funds with Cascadia which are pooled and lent to small businesses which cannot access traditional sources of credit-especially those owned by women and minorities, businesses located in distressed communities (high unemployment areas), and businesses that restore and/or preserve the environment.

Child Care Facility Fund:   This fund provides financial and technical assistance to businesses to start or expand employer-based child care facilities.  Applications for loans and grants are approved by a board with expertise in financing and child care.

Community Development Block Grant Float Loan Program  This program uses federal CDBG funds as a source of interim financing for business projects that are able to secure an irrevocable letter of credit and are willing to commit to making jobs available to low-income people.   To obtain financing, the business must be located in a small cities CDBG-eligible jurisdiction.

Community Development Finance Program:   The Community Development Finance (CDF) Program is available to help business secure long-term expansion loans.

Development Loan Fund:  The Development Loan Fund (DLF) provides gap financing for businesses that will create new jobs or retain existing jobs, particularly for lower-income persons, in nonentitlement areas of the state experiencing high unemployment.

Export-Import Bank of the United States (Eximbank)  The Export Assistance Center (EFACW) is the "city/state" representative of the Export-Import Bank of the Unites States.   Eximbank is the U.S. government agency that facilitates the export financing of U.S. goods and services.

HUD Section 108 Program  This program is used to attract and leverage private-sector funds by pledging future state CDBG awards as security for loans which meet established criteria.

Business and Industry Guarantee Loan Program.  The primary purpose of this program is to create and maintain employment and improve the economic climate in rural communities.

Intermediary Relending Program Loans.  Loans to finance business facilities and community development projects in rural areas, including cities with populations less than 25,000.

Rural Business Enterprise Grants  Assists public bodies, nonprofit corporations, and federally recognized Indian tribal groups to finance and facilitate development of small and emerging private business enterprises located in rural areas.

U.S. Small Business Administration: Spokane District Office - Eastern Washington  The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a federal agency which provides assistance in the form of direct loans, loan guarantees, counseling, helping small businesses secure government contracts, and acting as a special advocate for small businesses with other federal and state agencies and the private sector.  SBA has many programs to assist small businesses.
